The Secret Tables of India
Not every great meal in India comes with a maître d’ or a Michelin nod. Sometimes, it begins with a dropped pin to a quiet bungalow in Bandra, a candlelit terrace in Delhi, or a cosy apartment in Bangalore where jazz hums softly in the background. You ring the bell, step inside, and suddenly you’re at someone’s dining table with a group of strangers who might just become friends by dessert.
This is the unspoken charm of India’s growing supper club scene, part dinner, part storytelling, all heart. Forget the packed restaurants where the playlists are louder than the people. Supper clubs offer something far rarer: slow food, shared tables, and that rare sense of connection we keep chasing between courses. From Mumbai’s art-meets-culinary crowd, to Delhi’s elegantly curious diners, to Bangalore’s new-age hosts who turn their homes into mini gastronomic playgrounds, these gatherings are quietly reshaping how India eats and mingles.
So if you’re ready to trade “good vibes only” for something a little more soulful, consider this your invitation. The table’s set, the wine’s breathing, and the stories are just getting started.

Mumbai
Around the Table
Located in Bandra, Around the Table is hosted by Rukaiya Kanchwala and Ishita Desai. Their menus are drawn from memories of travel and home traditions. One evening, you might dine on a Grecian-inspired feast, another evening on a Bohri thaal. This is a by-invitation-only supper club where each event is like a themed voyage.

Bangalore
Khanpaan
Kabeer Khan, who, in between his responsibilities as a PR manager, started Khanpaan as a means to immortalise old family favourites with a fortnightly showcase of sheer decadence, hand-ground spices and all things meat. His culinary inspiration comes from his mother’s culture of hosting feasts for up to 20 people at home. The experience? Think Lucknowi decadence.

The Apartment
Designer and chef Anurag Arora's Apartment is a monthly pop-up that happens at well, his apartment. The menu is largely European with a mix of Asian flavours, at least based on the menus we've seen over the last few months. The dinner seats around 20 people, and there's a set menu that you can pick your items from. Oh, and you have been warned. The Apartment is quite popular because whenever Anurag drops the dates on his Instagram handle, it's almost sold out in a matter of seconds.
