The 101 on Saint Laurent Fall Winter ’18

Creative director and provocateur Anthony Vaccarello uses Saint Laurent Fall ’18 to create a vision for young, bold, powerful and sensual women. In keeping with his debut, he didn’t shy away from revisiting the ’80s either. Watch the show staged right by the Eiffel Tower here:

The Saint Laurent Fall Winter 2018 campaign pivots the legacy brand firmly in favour of Gen Z, who are on the lookout for fashion that resonates with them.

Saint Laurent is firmly about distilling the spirit of the youth. The campaign featuring model Betty Catroux, now in her 70s – long-time muse to Yves Saint Laurent, who once called her his “twin” – offers more proof. If there was ever fitting tribute to YSL’s legacy, it is this because Catroux was known to inspire some of the brand’s androgynous pieces. Watch the video shot by David Sims:

While Kaia Gerber and Zoe Kravitz continue to lead the charge, as the faces of Saint Laurent, they’re joined by Charlotte Casiraghi. The granddaughter of Grace Kelly makes a stunning debut for the label – and even introduces us to a Fall ’18 must-have, the Betty bag.
