No screen time on weekends! This helps relax the eyes and the mind, and even helps save power and energy at home. A small way of reducing carbon emissions.

Milisha Siroya, Head of Buying

I use the UN’s 8 Millennium Development Goals as a framework to evaluate what a brand’s sustainability practices are in order to make better purchase decisions. I also prefer buying key wardrobe investments, for example a slip dress that could be used for multiple occasions and can be dressed up or down.

Donate your unwanted clothing items to charity or sell them to thrift shops, instead of discarding them and contributing to textile waste in landfills.

Shiv Sawhney, Store Manager

I enjoy repurposing old pieces in my closet. I use my old shirts by taking them to my tailor and cutting them up and making a new piece with a mash up of multiple prints for a cool new look. During the lockdown, I cut up old linen pants into shorts to wear at home.

At home, we try to grow our own herbs inculcating the practice of sustainability. This reduces the use of pesticides and promotes a more nutritious and organic produce. We also sometimes use unwanted parts of plants such as lettuce or basil stems to grow new plants from old plants.

Use biodegradable paper. They are environment-friendly and water soluble, making it a great addition to your soil for plants.

I highly recommend using menstrual cups. They are a cost-effective, environmentally friendly, ergonomic alternative to pads, and it means switching to lifetime use over one time use.
